Rn's ``-S'' allows you to see articles grouped together by the "Subject:" header. Whereas, notes' autosequencer brings articles together using the "References:" header (or lack thereof, indicating a "base" note). The notes method of doing things is better (in my opinion) as many people munge the Subject line when replying, thereby breaking -S's ability to follow a chain of replys.
