This is a summary of responses to my article posted a few weeks ago.
In that article I asked "How many of you have access to the net are not
University of Waterloo student?"
 
All but one of the quotes are parts of e-mails.



"I am not an undergrad and do attend UW. 

.......................................................  As far as I
know,  very few undergrads at U of T have access to the net.  At Waterloo,
most undergrads in Math and Engineering get UNIX accounts for courses,  and
all Arts students can get one if they like.

That is why the majority of the traffic is from UW.  I don't know that much
about the rest of the country,  but I would doubt there is anywhere outside
Waterloo that grants large scale undergrad access to a UNIX system unless
they are in CS."


"Hello.  I am a finishing undergrad at York.   ..................
..........  I have access to the net, however, through my last summer
job with Defense Canada. I do know that York is on the net, although I

university) was a bit of a shock.  Waterloo has its Sytek network that......"
