I thought I said that. Another word of warning: quite a few companies sell "encryption" programs for the IBM PC that are much faster than software DES. Note my use of quotes; they are TERRIBLE both as encryption packages and as random number generators. For example, "lock/unlock" by SoftLogic Solutions (the guys who brought DoubleDos to the world) encrypts a file containing binary zeros to the pattern FBFFFBFFFBFFFB... with the key I used.
