Does anybody have any info about the cost of residing in Ontario compared with the cost of residing in Quebec ? Even though I am studying in Ontario, I am still a Quebec resident and I would like to have more data before deciding if I should change my province of residence. Anything concerning the living cost of a married couple is relevent (i.e. mortgage on a house, life insurance, car expenses, etc...) I already know that, on average, with an taxable income of ~35000, Ontario's taxes are $4000 less than Quebec's but Quebec's Health Insurance Plan pays for itself (OHIP costs ~$1000/year), there is no sale tax on furniture and clothing in QC, etc... Gaz is 0.10$/litre cheaper in Ont... By living near the Ont/Quebec border, one should be able to take advantage of the different prices and taxes on certain items but I would like to have a comparison done on the basis that one buys everything in its home province. Thank you. Janick Bergeron
