No matter what file one tries to edit, unless you are the person who compiled and dumped emacs you get the message above. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh ya, all the protections on the lisp, document and dump file(s) have been set up so anyone can read and/or execute them. The problem comes when you try to edit a file of some sort, everything seems to be write protected. Thanks in advance for any help or insite, -Rob Healey rhealey@ub.d.umn.edu University of Minnesota, Duluth
