Such a thing certainly isn't unheard of. I guess it all depends on how badly you want the traffic. The AUTOSIG program in the IBMCOMM forum on CompuServe does essentially that for the IBMPC. It downloads messages from the forums you read, and gives you a little fullscreen editor to write replys, then sends the replys in a batch. It can save a paying customer a lot of money on forum participation. Naturally you still wouldn't be thrilled with AUTOSIGs message interface.
