You mean, for example, if I stumble across uucp source on a public-domain BBS in DC, and it has no copyright notices in it ? Then I call a buddy of mine who actually has AT&T source and there are no notices in that either ? Gee, and this actually happened to, er, my kid brother. That's why, some time ago, I made a fool of myself posting to the net, asking pointed questions. Don't worry, though, I have received a letter from AT&T's licensing department, informing me that uucp is covered under the trade secrets and is copyright. That pretty much settles that... As for the proverbial "reasonable man" - what a stupid concept ! Not only is that idea assuming that nobody has ever stood up in court and LIED but that is legally disenfranchising UNREASONABLE people like me !!! --mjr() ps - I also don't remember if I gave AT&T my home address. lordy knows where they got it.
