The DEMPR requires an H4000-BA ONLY when it is connected to a DELNI; otherwise, any standard H400x transceiver will do. Not only that, but the H4000-BA is nothing more than the standard transceiver now being sold by a half-dozen different companies (Micom-Interlan, Digital, and Excelan to name three). Perhaps I shouldn't say this in an open forum, but anyone that believes anything they read in Digital (Review,News), Hardcopy, (DEC,VAX,RSTS) Professional without a second opinion is asking for trouble. jms
