Sun sells a cartridge subsystem, but they say they can't retrofit it into an existing system. (It must be ordered from the factory with a cart already installed.) I believe the Sun subsystem consists of an Adaptec 4000 SCSI interface. I'm not sure what the tape drive is. Does anyone have any experiences to share regarding retrofitting a cartridge tape drive to a Sun? A different controller is OK, if there is a suitable device driver provided. HELP, I NEED AN ANSWER QUICK. REPLIES VIA E-MAIL PLEASE. -- David S. Hayes, The Merlin of Avalon PhoneNet: (202) 694-6900 UUCP: *!seismo!sundc!hqda-ai!merlin ARPA: merlin%hqda-ai.uucp@brl.arpa
