This article basically summarizes the organizations involved in the UNIX-like O.S. standardization efforts, how to contact them, working group chairpersons/contacts, etc. Would someone be willing to maintain and occasionally post such a list to this group? I am thinking of things such as relevant RFCs describing TCP/IP; the ISO documents on OSI; the IEEE 802 stuff; current LAN working groups, and so forth. Considering all the different networking protocols extant, the list would be immense if comprehensive; but on the other hand the sheer volume is also part of what is difficult for newcomers to the area like myself - who is doing what, what are current revs of specs that the company only has old versions of, etc. If I *knew* this stuff I might even be willing to volunteer myself, but I don't - which is why I ask.
