Problem:  Using MIT's PCIP software on an IBM XT or AT equipped 
          with the Enhanced Color Display occasionally causes the
          screen to go blank--that it, the screen is still
          being written to, but the intensity turns off.  Striking
          the function key F10 twice turns the intensity back on,
          for some reason.  Other problems occur when using PCIP
          with gnu-emacs.

Solution:  Is there one?
