I sort of figured that the reason that it went away was because of people
asking if they could upgrade their Amiga to have Extra Half Bright :')

Actually, that is what I was told.  I don't have EHB on any of my Amigas
(the two at home and this one at work) but if you are right Dave, could
I be signed up for three of those post rev. 6 chips?  Pretty Please???
