Yes, they are.  We are actively looking at improvements in the system
software, including Workbench.

Good question.  I'd prefer not to have a new OS release for about
a year.  Too many releases too quickly tends to annoy software
developers (who are critical to a machines success).

The manuals are a great place to start.  In particular,
RomTags, which allow the replacement of an entire module,
and SetFunction, which allow you to replace a function within
a library/device are key.  When I get a little free time I'll
write and post a RomTag (in ram) example.
(BTW, even though Workbench is in rom (kickstart) the LoadWB
command is on the Workbench disk.  Think about it.)

we (the technical people here at C/A) agree.  And we are listening/saving
messages.  (its counter-productive for us to actually get involved in
the debates themselves)
