The manuals are a great place to start. In particular, RomTags, which allow the replacement of an entire module, and SetFunction, which allow you to replace a function within a library/device are key. When I get a little free time I'll write and post a RomTag (in ram) example. (BTW, even though Workbench is in rom (kickstart) the LoadWB command is on the Workbench disk.
