I should have said something along the lines that X windows was originally written for Berkeley unix and all known commerical implementations are Berekley based or rely on Berkeley compatibility features. Anyway, all is subject to change... Any info on who did the NeWS port for the ST? I shouldn't be too hard to port from the ST to the Amiga. It might be pretty intersting when the Ameristar ethernet boards and software become readily available.
