At the time, Project Athena had around 10-12 Vax 11/750's which had been
installed but were not yet ready for general use, so when Lucasfilm was
looking for some cycles to compute the backgrounds, we figured the machines
might as well see some use.  If I remember correctly, the backgrounds were
of order 100 Vax 11/750 days...
