Something that I have read in many magazines and postings. The answer is to keep using the SCC or find a new version of Fontrix (if such is around) that runs on the //gs The trouble (as I see it) : Fontrix is using the Serial card directly and not thru the firmware. I would assume that the original programers thought that the firmware in the SCC was not very usable and thus went ahead and accessed the IO ports directly, leaving incompatibility in the wake.
