Version 1.3 is the same one that makes the light on drive 1 come on while it's reading or writing to drive 2. After it managed to trash track 0 on a disk which DID have a write protect tab, I went back to the older Version 1.1.1. ***** You have been fairly warned ****** I just received Version 7.4 of Copy 2 Plus from Central Point. I'm not sure that particular update is worth the $8 (if you haven't already ordered it, hold onto your $$$). My main complaint is that the disk copy routine is back to 3 tracks at a time (instead of the previous 20 tracks). I've gone back to the UTIL.SYSTEM from version 7.1. Maybe there is a new parm or two you need in the bitcopy list (the only one I was looking for is for Where in the USA is... and it's NOT there). Anybody know why the UTIL.SYSTEM isn't using AUX memory even if it hasn't been formatted for some other purpose? The ECHO is getting worse. Now MAINT@POMONA is returning mail to info-apple, which is sending it out (presumably back to POMONA which will return it again, to be sent out again.....). An interesting demonstration of explosive feedback! Fortunately the mail IS interesting folks (at least the first time), and I've programmed a pf key to "discard" dups as soon as I realize they are dups.
