I hate to tell you this, but you were largely erroneous about your assumptions
about the Apple Extended Memory Card.

First, you can boot from the Apple card, too.
Second, the Apple card DOES have DOS 3.3.
Third, it WILL work on a gs.

How do I know??  I have one.
