Lines: 20 Keywords: PD C compiler Thanks to Fred Sullivan for posting the ACE C package! I've been hoping to get hold of a decent language utility for my 8-bit ever since I got it, but being a poor student, I couldn't afford the Kyan Pascal system, and there just didn't appear to be any C packages at all out for the 8-bit machines. Lightspeed sounds like a good implementation for development, but I'm not sure I want to buy an incomplete C compiler; one can get very used to conveniences like structures and multidimensional arrays.:) Maybe if enough of us tell Clearsoft that we want a full implementation, they will get one out. I was thinking I would have to learn about compiler design, and write one myself, but I really don't have the time. Now for my queries: I can't get the 'pmdemo' program to run at all; it com- piles, but all my attempts to link it and the graphics library (graphics.c) end with a spectacular bomb, lots of mixed graphics modes and a console lockup. Anybody get this working? Also, I was wondering if there is a way to prevent the compiled programs from blanking the screen upon exit. I appreciate any and all help.
