  Instead of just worrying about the character transpositions, put a line
with the uucode ascii set at the top of the file before the 'begin'.
  There are a couple of uuencodes around that do this.  Dumas' uudecode for
the st uses this line to change bad chars back to good ones.
  Actually, I don't know if this is true, but I use the table line as a
translation table in my multics uudecode.
