... I was at an ATARI promotional show yesterday. It was held in the showroom
of one of the bigger ATARI dealers in Bonn.

There was a representative of ATARI Germany demonstrating the new Mega series,
and I asked innocently about a remedy for the 40 folders bug and/or a new ROM
release. (BTW: the ROMs he had in his Mega ST were dated 27-Feb-87, if I
remember correctly.)

This is what he answered, and I'll try to quote him literally:

   " ... there will NOT BE A ROM UPGRADE that fixes the 40 folder problem.
     Instead, there will be an external program that increases the folder
     limit to about 900. This program will be made available via <the German
     ATARI> BBS and our dealers. "

Anyone@Atari for comments ???????????????
