I know why I want X, but its unclear that I want it for the same reasons as everyone else. Therefore I pose the following questions to all those interested in X for the Atari: 1. Which, if any, of the programs written to run with X would you like to see on the Atari? 2. Would you be interested in writing applications to run under X rather than GEM? 3. Would you like an X equivalent of the GEM desktop? 4. If you answered yes to question 3, what would you like it to look like? What features should it have and how should they be invoked? 5. How much memory can you spare to run X? 6. Should GEM be disabled when X is running? Why or why not? 7. Any other comments? ** Mail your answers to me. I will post a summary of the responses. ** BTW - I've got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that work on X has come to a temporary halt. The good news is that I'm stopped because I'm trying to get X version 11. Bob Amstadt bob@wiley.uucp (UUCP) trwrb.uucp!wiley!bob (Alternate UUCP) csvax.caltech.edu!wiley!bob (Alternate UUCP or ARPA)
