I have an early 6300 mouse (the kind that plugs into the keyboard). With it, came an upgrade chip for inside the keyboard, which I installed. The mouse software claims, I believe, to be 1.0. I've used the mouse successfully with a couple of pieces of software, including a version of MS-Windows for the 6300 and the PC-Layers software (neither of which I use any longer). When I try to use the mouse in QuickBasic, the mouse cursor moves around ok, but garbage characters are input into the window, as well. Is there some dumb configuration option I need to use? Or, do I have an obsolete set of mouse software? Or, should I just go out and plunk down $100 on a real Microsoft Mouse? (And, is the Microsoft Bus mouse ok in the 6300?) Thanks a bunch. -- Ron Heiby, heiby@mcdchg.UUCP Moderator: comp.newprod & comp.unix Motorola Microcomputer Division (MCD), Schaumburg, IL "I am not elsewhere."
