I have a Multitech MGA, which is supposed to work like a
Hercules monochrome graphics adapter.  The manual includes
the values for the various 6845 registers to allow changing
between text and graphics modes.  This all works, but...
when I go from text to graphics, my IBM monitor "chirps."  I
suspect this is due to changes in the sync signals as the 6845
is being reset.  Turning off the video does not help.  Does anyone
know a more graceful way to get from text to graphics mode?
