No - PageMaker runs under Windows. Thus, the display type is more
a factor of the drivers you are using under Microsoft Windows.
EGA, however, seems to be the popular route to take for PageMaker.

It is not so much the speed of PageMaker as is the speed, or
LACK of speed of Windows. You can't really run this program on
a plain 'ol PC. Even a TURBO (8Mhz) 808X system would be pushing
it - especially if you use a high resolution display.

Personal Publishing and Publish! (exclamation point part of name)
are two excellent sources for desktop publishing information. You
can obtain more precise speed data from some of the articles they
have published.

You want speed and GREAT desktop publishing? Try VENTURA PUBLISHER.
I know I keep harping about how great Ventura is on the net - but
it is quite good and version 1.1 due out in two weeks promises to
be VERY good. And I like an underdog (GEM, DG, Ventura...) And if
you have wondered why HP has chosen to use PageMaker in their
"system" it is, more than likely, because Xerox distributes
Ventura (read Political). For anyone intersted - we use Ventura
