It cost me about $400 a year ago. I suppose it's possible for, say, the internal IBM (card version) to be <$200, but that does sound awful cheap. I love my courier 2400. Hayes Compatible??? I dunno, I think it's close enough. In My opinion, Hayes screwed up their 2400 baud AT command spec. USRobotics did a slam-bang (i.e. Great) job with theirs, from the dip switch settings to the call progress/autoanswer. It has all the features one normally sees in intelligent modems these days (automatic baud rate, parity, and wordlength detection while the AT command set is active, programmable levels of intelligence, lots of internal registers allowing you to change most parameters, etc...) -Matt
