PCIP works fairly well on the COMPAC (overlooking some problems when using gnu-emacs). Strange things, however, happen to the display output when PCIP is used on the IBM machines. When displaying long text files (several pages), the Enhanced Color Display occasionally goes blank, and the monochrome display prints garbled text on a split screen. Its as if the display vector becomes momentarily lost. Striking the function key F10 twice restores the display, for some reason. Has anyone encountered these problems and found a solution?
