Science Center Lines: 14 Keywords: modem Summary: What are the best 1nd cheapest 1200 baud Hayes compatible modems? Although I'm sure this topic has been discussed on the net before, I've just started reading the net recently, so I hope you'll bear with me. I'd like to buy a 1200 baud Hayes compatible modem for my Mac 512, and I'd like to do it as cheaply as possible, while still getting a decent modem. I've seen lots of ads in magazines, with prices as low as $120 or so, but I have no ideas how good any of these modems are. Can those of you with knowledge in this area help me out? Information about a good brand to get, as well as a place to get it cheaply would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Ben Waldman waldman@husc4.harvard.edu
