Well, hard disk prices seem to be getting down into the reasonable area,
so I think it is about time to buy my mac a new toy to play with.

AND SO, IT IS TIME FOR YET ANOTHER DISK DRIVE SURVEY!

So, please send your comments, suggestions and advice to me here, and I
will summarize.

I am interested in:

1) Brand, model, size - please note if not scsi
2) Manufacturer of disk drive itself (if known)
3) Features (head parking, backup or other software, print spooling, etc.)
4) Comments on use:
    a) Noise levels (does it have a fan?)
    b) Comparative speed (folklore acceptable)
    c) Software/hardware hitches, problems, misfeatures
5) Reliability 
    a) have you, or anyone you know, had problems?
    b) what kind of support do/did you get?
6) Price and mail order availability
   *) and, by the way, how do you feel about the mail order company?
