It turns out that somewhere in the Megamax libraries they use BasicGlobs (0x2b6). This was a previously unused (but reserved) low memory global which is now being used by the operating system. I was able to make uw work by using FEdit to patch two occurences of 02b6 to 0a78 (ApplScratch) You might try applying the same patch to the library itself.
