Here's the answer: The warranty for the Drive and ROM kit upgrade is simply for the upgraded parts, not the logic board, power supply, etc. whether there are third party parts installed or not. If there are problems, they must be demonstrated on a non-third-party unit with the customer's parts installed before the warranty would apply to the ROMs and the disk drive.
