Lines: 18 The other day I attempted to buy a color cartridge for my laserwriter and was told (by an apple dealer) that apple does not support them. I was sure that the man was confused, he claimed that using color cartridges could damage the laserwriter and then I'd have to spend $1500 (and thats american dollars not bolivian) to have them clean it. I called Apple and they wouldn't say much, only that it was Apple's policy not to allow the use of color cartridges. Does anyone know what the *x!?()! is going on here? The apple laserwriter uses a Cannon CX marking engine. This is the same puppy that HP uses in its laserjet, and I know that people use color cartridges in it with no trouble. I know you folks at apple are on the net here, could one of you please check out this wierdness for me. I *really* want to use color but I don't want to have to spend $1500 if its going to screw up my laserwriter.
