Does anyone out there happen to know the format of the files used by the
MacNifty sound digitizer's "soundplay" and "soundinit" programs?

I'm guessing (because of the file sizes) that the data is not compressed...is
it just a file of bytes or is there additional information in there (like
sampling rate...etc)?
