I have recently acquired a rather old computer which includes a
Shugart 4008 24M hard disk. I would like to replace it with a
(physically) smaller drive as the monster draws quite a bit of
current and acts as a space heater I really don't need in Houston
in May. Unfortunately, I am probably stuck with the geometry it
has (4 heads) but even a small 24 or 30M replacement would be
a big help. If anyone has knowledge of this drive or its interface,
I would appreciate hearing about it, preferably directly.
