According to a recent press release, WordMARC will be releasing a new
version sometime this summer with "support of typestyles, proportional
spacing and integration of graphics in high level typography on laser
printers."

The second phase (with an unspecified release schedule) will "incorporate
full utiliation of raster screen technology as the terminals [that 
are raster-oriented] become more widely available."

They also say that the will "developing hooks that will give WordMARC
interfaces to other office automation applications such as spreadsheets,
databases, electronic mail, and calendaring."

This is not intended as an ad, just information from a site that uses
WordMARC heavily.
