The VorTeX tool distribution from Berkeley has a set of tuned 118 dpi fonts. If you invoke xdvi with -s 1 -p 118 you can use these fonts. Or recompile xdvi. Address is dist-vortex@berkeley.edu. The TeX tape also has 118 dpi fonts, intended for Versatec, not as pretty as the VorTeX set, but what the heck. If you have Metafont you can create your own 118 dpi set using the device parameters for Sun supplied in UIUC.mf. By the way, the TeX world has moved to pk font files (which are more compact). Haavard Eidnes (excuse my spelling if wrong) did most of the work adding pk font capability (upward compatible) to xdvi. I just took out a bug or two. But I don't know how to submit this for the next distribution. Can somebody please tell me who is collecting tools for V11? Ken
