In X V10, is there any way for a process to find out if a given pixel value 
	(a) already has a color map cell allocated to it?
	(b) has a read/write as opposed to read-only cell allocated to it?
	(c) has a cell allocated to it that can be XStoreColors'ed by
		this process?
	(d) has a cell allocated to it that can be XFreeColors'ed by
		this process?

I see that V11 will get color maps right, but meanwhile this would help.
