In general, information about standards used on Xerox printing and publishing systems products can be obtained through the Xerox Systems Institute, 475 Oakmead Parkway, Sunnyvale, CA 94086 (408) 737-4652. The Xerox 8700 and 9700 printers are Interpress Commerical Set printers when used with Ethernet and Version V10cr of their software. As an Interpress printer, they understand the .IMG format. The Xerox 4050, 8790, and 9790 printers accept Interpress Commercial Set through Interpress, magnetic tape, or direct channel connections with Version 2 of their software.
