Has anybody had any luck running SMTP under RTU?  UUCP requests are not 
honored by our VAX's, since we're ARPANET, so we can only talk among 
Masscomp's here.

[We have been running SMTP (via sendmail) for a couple of years here. You can
try that option, or get 4.3 UUCP and run TCP-UUCP to a 4.3BSD VAX. I know
that both methods works with Masscomps. -- sob]
