	I am trying to bring up an improved version of the Rand mail
handler (MH) on a Masscomp 5400.  The version of the source I have is
6.1.  As of now, I must have more than 45 hours into debugging this
thing and it's time to ask for help.  Problems:

	1)  rmail tosses away incoming mail.  I have traced this to a
	bug in post where hdrtab was not initialized causing post to
	fail.  Now, I get mail that the message was deliverd but still
	no message (all the temp files seem to be built correctly).

	2) scan gives error messages on "holes" in a folder.

	3) folder -pack dies on holes.

All of these seem to indicate that this version of MH could NEVER have
functioned on any hardware.  My previous version (object only) was so
old that it has no version stamps anywhere in the files.  If someone has
brought up a similar version of MH, please call or send me mail.
