Some of the things people mentioned were PMDF, a mail only interface to UUCP. There was another package which also did mail only, no full implimentation of a VMS UUCP node package tho. 2) TCP/IP on VMS: I know of the two commercial packages for VMS TCP. Each is around $4,500 I believe. Thats a bit steep for us here tho. Someone mentioned CMU-TCP enhancements to the TEKTRONIX TCP. It requires an AT&T Unix license, as well as a TEK license. We have a UNIX license, where and for how much is the TEK TCP license ? 3) LOGINOUT.EXE DEC charges something like $2,250 to upgrade a UvaxII from 1 user to 8 users. The thing that controls user limits is hooked to LOGINOUT.EXE. Is there any law, or DEC agreement customers have which would forbid a customer from changing the LOGINOUT code to bypass the user limit, or to rewirte LOGINOUT completely, or something similar? 4) EMACS Finally got it up and running here. Thats all the questions that have been queued up the past few weeks.... /Steve +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Steve E.
