Specifically, he needs functions to add, subract, and compare two numbers of this magnitude, as well as test individual bits in the result. Does anyone know of or perhaps already written a routine to simulate such a situation? We have a VAX running VMS 4.5. The application is written in VAX Fortran 4.6.1.
