We are trying to determine which to use to support Internet mail. I have been told that PMDF is the best for use with VMS Mail. Has anyone compared Pony Express and PMDF? How easy are these programs to modify for a different TCP/IP program than the ones listed in their abstracts. Which is best? I heard at least one site has had problems with Pony Express, but I cannot remember what the problem was. What problems have you had with these products? Software Tools Mail seems to be the only one with a MFENET (SDSCNET) mail relay interface. However Software Tools Mail uses its own Unix-mail like user agent program. Anybody know what Pony Express and PMDF plans are for a MFENET type interface, if any? Here at Berkeley we are in a multi-network environment: ARPA Internet (TCP/IP - ARPANET, BARRNET, Campus TCP/IP), UUCP, NJE/RSCS/BERKHASP (BITNET), DECNET (HEPNET), SDSCNET (MFENET) and a local Berknet (being replace by TCP/IP).
