[So far we've tried to define a "distributed system" with little success, so]
[I suspect that a taxonomy will be even harder.  But, we can give it a try. ]

   Do there exist any taxonomies or classification schemas for
distributed systems (distributed operating systems, distributed
file systems, distributed process management, etc)?
