citi (the center for information technology integration at the
university of michigan) is writing an nfs client for the macintosh.
(note that apple has (or will have) nfs under a/ux; our work is
targeted toward the mac+.)

the design is complete, the implementation nearly so (would be, were we
not trapped in a twisty maze of turning GetCatInfo calls), and testing
has begun in earnest.

citi's macnfs is based on the citi macip drivers, described here a few
weeks ago; rpc/xdr is also implemented as a driver.

citi's macnfs project is partially supported by apple computer.
