I am not sure how to put this into the guns discussion, so I address
it to you.

I am newly rejoined to the NRA (after 20 yrs absence) and completely
at a loss to understand what is going on.

Apparently there is some "new guard" in control - a bunch of commercial
interests?  HCI patsies? Or merely moderates (unacceptable to the
NRA membership, right?)?  And who is the opposition?  Good ole boys who
believe every 8-year-old kid should have a submachine gun?

Can someone offer an attempt at a dispassionate, neutral explanation
of where things stand.  I like to see established fatcats get deposed,
but I want to know whose heads will roll before I join the revolution.
