I am disgusted with the ignorant heavy-handed shenanigans of the net heavies as manifested in the recent renaming orgy; I am especially disgusted with its chief perpetrator, Rick Adams, and his continuing inability to recognize quality and service to readers when he sees it. I have decided that I do not want to spend my good time working on something that he insists on dragging down to the level of the rest of the network. It was a lot of fun until recently. If some network besides "Cabal USENET" becomes viable, I will restart mod.recipes on that network. I am looking at Stargate, and also at a parallel USENET using the "mod." prefix, but for now, I'm just turning it off. I will continue to run the archive server for a few more months, so that all of you can catch up on your back issues. Brian
