I've got a good friend here at work, and he introduced me to a lady who
just recently turned her life over to the Lord. The three of us got into
a discussion the other day, and she was curious as to why she should
join a church. She's attending one regularly, but has not become a
full-fledged member yet. It was a question she raised, and one the
produced a very thought-provoking conversation.

I'd like to raise the same question to this forum: Why should a
Christian formally join a given denomination? 

I'm not going to give any of the thought we had in our conversation - I'm
really curious what type of answers/discussions this will raise.
