Why should Capital Punishment be abolished? === ====== ======= ========== == o The death penelty is irreverse- able. How can a jury , even if anaminus, be totaly sure a man is a killer? o Capital Punishment doesn't detour murders, infact, according to a study, murders went up 1/2 % - although I doubt that has any thing to to do with the newly passed laws. o The subject of racism, I'm not sure if this is realy happening - but the charges some people give are kind of complex!"80.2 % of death-sentenced people killed whites?" But anything that has such major conservery and, I myself do see some forms of racism in capital punishment, should definetly at least be put temporarly on hold! A study should be made. However, of course , I think it should be completly stoped. o Finaly , the human side of all of this. Just what gives the government right to KILL other people? I have seen people convicted of murdering someone because someone murdered some- one else!(Vidualanti..) But the government can??? This is a cruel, uncivilised, and primitive way of handling a problem that solves nothing but revenge. It is a "lets kill'm attitude." Now don't get me wrong, I am not for feeling sorry for murderers and sugesting automatic insanity charges on all murder crimes or anything. I thin that tougher action and more involved study should be taken - but not the old primitive capital punishment. A more advanced social action - how about being "invisable" for life? No one will ever talk to you or help you or even acnolige your existance! Of course, there would be laws againts "making someone visible". Sound like a fantisy movie? Oh well, guess society isn't advanced enough to handle its social problems (which, in case of murders , is a SERIOUS social problem). It will be a long time before humans act like humans. -- [=====================================] [ Rob DeMarco ] [ UUCP:decvax!cwruecmp!ncoast!robertd ] [ ] [ "I hate 'Wheel of fortune'....and ] [ proud of it!!" ] [=====================================]
