As well, other instances of inews may be running. Running [ir]news shared-text is thus a good idea on swapping systems where memory may be short. To get this, use localize.sh to change the line linking inews to add "-n". Something like /-o inews/s//-n &/ within the ed of Makefile will do it. I suggested to Rick that this change be made in Makefile.dst, but he tells me that on systems with virtual memory, cc -n is not appropriate.
